Lord-Lieutenant attends event to mark special occasion
On Wednesday 2nd November, EFT hosted an event to celebrate being chosen as one of 300 organisations from across the UK to receive a tree from the Queen’s Green Canopy Tree of Trees.
The ceremony was attended by a number of guests, including local dignitaries and primary school children, who watched as HM Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex planted the alder tree gifted to EFT in the orchard at the Firs.
Guests were then treated to activities and a tour of the site, which included a visit to our Secret Garden and Forest School area to learn more about the work of the charity and meet all those involved.
