An Invitation to the Palace

Last week our colleague Jen attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace by invite of HM Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex.  His Majesty The King, hosted the event, supported by the Department for Education, to recognise and celebrate those working in education across the United Kingdom.  Jen chose to take our Deputy CEO Jodie with her, and they were joined by approximately 7,000 other individuals from across a range of educational fields.

Jen has worked hard over the years here at EFT supporting the child development of those under 5 and helping to prepare them for their transition into reception. Alongside this, she also works with their older siblings and the wider family members, offering a holistic approach to supporting local families.

Jen shares with us “It was a great honour to spend the day at the Palace, blessed by glorious weather. It was a real once in a lifetime day and the poshest afternoon tea I’m sure I’ll ever experience again! I am so lucky to work with such wonderful families and inspiring colleagues, who make a difference every day. Everything we do here at EFT is a team effort, whether supporting families in the community, delivering sessions within local schools, or working in the background to ensure the smooth running of our charity. A huge thank you for the invite, it truly was a special day”.
