Much-needed investment furthers EFT’s mission to create a community hub

Following two years of planning and legal agreements, Education Futures Trust is excited to share that the commencement of development at the Firs has begun. New security fencing, installed by Littlewood Fencing, provides increased security to the site continuing EFT’s aims of providing a safe space for residents.
The installation of fencing is a key milestone for the development of the Firs, as it enables Education Futures Trust to progress the remaining capital investment for the site. EFT is receiving European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding via Connecting Hastings and Rother Together (CHART) to deliver new modular buildings, compostable toilets, multiple equipment libraries, a welfare unit, an enterprise hub, and a training kitchen. The much-needed investment furthers EFT’s mission to create an integrated hub supporting the community and partners of the CCG-funded, North East Hastings Health and Wellbeing Hub.
CHART Funded capital investment will be complete by December 2022.
