Community learning programs aim to help adult service users improve their lives through education. Education Futures Trust provides a wide range of workshops, covering mental health barriers, employability skills, therapeutic activities, life skills and more. It allows the participants to invest in themselves, furthering their education and improving their wellbeing.
Keywork services enable parents and schools to work together and improve the lives of children and their families. By creating a collaboration between the school and the family, children can be led to their full potential. Keyworkers will assist parents in developing more effective parenting techniques, as well as implementing healthier lifestyles.
Amber Rudd PC MP for Hastings & Rye said:
“I was so impressed to meet the two volunteers, Dave and Gam, whose enthusiasm and dedication to working at the site is so inspirational and moving. Dave and Gam told me how much their lives have been turned around for the better since working here out in the open, and their interest in and knowledge of nature is clear, as they have identified no fewer than 44 different bird species on site, and showed me a list of all their Latin names.”
